Which color temperature should I choose for an LED lamp?

The first commercialized LED lamps were generally bluish in color. Over time, LED lamps have evolved significantly, both in terms of color and power. So we find color temperatures ranging from a very warm white to a color approaching the light of day.

Today, LED Strip Lights are able to have a warm and pleasant color rendering, similar to the bulbs of the older generation: incandescent bulbs. Also, note that it is important not to mix different color temperatures in the same room, to keep a light and a homogeneous atmosphere.

The importance of the color of light lies in the atmosphere given to a room:

1500 - 2400K

  • Romantic atmosphere
  • Rooms and living rooms

2400 - 3000K

  • Warm atmosphere
  • Houses, restaurants, hotels

3000 - 3500K

  • For a warm and productive space
  • Kitchens and hallways

3500 - 4500K

  • Productive environment
  • Offices and industries

4500 - 6500K

  • Comparable to daylight
  • Hospitals, garages, laboratories
